The Family Child Care Home Education Network program is a partnership between the parent, family child care home provider, and Children’s Home Society of California . The FCCHEN program offers affordable child care to eligible parents, supports the quality of child care, and establishes relationships between children, parents, family child care home providers, and CHS program specialists. Family child care home providers enrolled in the FCCHEN program receive ongoing professional development training, guidance, and technical support from CHS program specialists to assure high-quality child development services. Our Crisis Nursery Program provides free emergency childcare for children age 0-5, as well as case management services for families during a crisis.

Children’s Home Society of California is very pleased to offer CareConnect for child care providers who are participating in the Child Care Payment Program . In all programs, CHS provides parents with child care referrals and technical assistance. For over 129 years, Children’s Home Society of California has adapted to the changing needs of children and families.

CHS Podcasts

This program pays for all or part of child care expenses while parents participate in CalWORKs Welfare-to-Work plans, are employed, or attend school. Families are referred to CHS through local offices of the California Department of Social Services , or families self-refer by completing a CHS Eligibility List Questionnaire. As always, if you have any questions about your child care options, resources available to you, or if you need assistance with referrals, contact your Resource and Referral Hotline and a R&R Specialist will be available to assist you with your needs. About Our Communities CHS serves children and families throughout California, with seven CHS offices dedicated to providing high-quality programs to those in need.

CHS encourages all parents to consider the full range of child care options available before choosing child care. To learn about your parental choice and the child care options that may be available to you, read our Parental Choice of Child Care Services brochure or listen to the podcast. This program pays for all or part of child care expenses if parents work, seek work, attend school, seek permanent housing, experience homelessness, are incapacitated, are deemed at risk by a legally qualified professional, and/or are receiving child protective services. Through this program, participating families select caregivers from a variety of licensed and license-exempt child care providers throughout the community. At CHS, we view a child not in isolation, but in the context of each family’s health, stability, and resources.

Our Residential Treatment Program provides intensive care for abused or neglected males age 6-18 and prepares them to thrive in a family home. The Children’s Home Society of Idaho operates the Warm Springs Counseling Centers in Downtown Boise and Meridian. The Warm Springs Counseling Center is a family-based counseling center accepting all youth, adolescents and adult family members of the client.
